It all started organically, precisely as he intended it to be. They’d walk into our home, and ask; who designed your home?
I began to contemplate if this was perhaps a calling to embrace an inner talent and pursue this path professionally. Enrolling in a design school initially seemed like the right step, yet I soon realized my passion for creating and designing extended far beyond the confines of a traditional educational setting.
Experimenting with small-scale projects within my own home offered invaluable insights into the meticulous intention and thoughtful curation required to cultivate the perfect living space. Despite my home being an ongoing project, I’m grateful for the slow progression, as it has allowed me to truly grasp my personal style and the significance of investing in pieces that resonate. I’ve come to appreciate investing into a timeless, quality aesthetic.
My personal design style leans towards the transitional, infused with exquisite intricacies that reflect my appreciation for beauty and delicacy.
Inspiration to become an Interior designer, also came from a stylist I admire, whose leap of faith shared on social media resonated deeply with me, motivating me to take a similar leap. She spoke of how she for so long let her talent sit hidden from the world. She inspired me deeply. The power of Social Media!
Family and friends often call my designs ‘unique,’ ‘inspiring,’ and ‘beautiful,’ noting their distinctiveness and originality. Thank you, thank you.
Indeed, there is no one rule I follow, besides one: Design with soul.
Given my innate passion for creating, design feels like a natural extension of myself. During initial client meetings, my intuition guides me, enabling me to discern a clients personal style and preferences effortlessly. Each design project feels akin to crafting art, where every element tells a unique story, and witnessing clients’ joy as their spaces come together is immensely gratifying.
I truly enjoy working collaboratively with my clients, and my design methodology revolves around capturing their essence and integrating it into their physical environment. It’s so important to me that my clients feel a profound resonance with the end result, ensuring that it authentically reflects their identity and meets their functional needs.
In my approach to social media, transitioning from being one who rarely shares online, to having a public account, is something I am still navigating. I’ve found a way to balance sharing aspects of intentional design, while retaining the privacy of my family and children. It’s most important for me to remain authentic in how I show up and in my expression. For me, quality sharing over quantity reigns supreme, and I am embracing it slowly, in a way that feels right to me. When I share, each post is a reflection of our business values and identity, and something we are proud of.
Just as building a home or designing a space is a journey, so too is this venture. I approach it with gratitude, humility, and patience, cherishing every opportunity for growth and learning. To our growing design community and our cherished clients, thank you for your trust and support. This is just the beginning of an exciting journey ahead.
